Three Generations of Customers

Our family has a long history with The Diamond Cellar. My father bought my mom's wedding and engagement rings from Robert W. Johnson when the store was on South High Street, (and below street level).  He later went back and bought himself a diamond watch.  Each little diamond represented one of twelve numbers on the face of the watch.  It was a beautiful watch. In the early 1960's my dad took the watch back and had Robert W. Johnson use the diamonds to make my mother and I a pendant and earring set.  I wore mine on my wedding day in 1964.In the early 1970's my mom decided to upgrade her wedding set to a five stone band.  She had Robert create a dinner ring using all the stones from the wedding set. My dad passed away in 2006 and my mom passed away in 2013.  They were married for 62 years.  I still have the pendant and earring set and my daughter, Marla, has my mom's set and the dinner ring. We are three generations of customers and have recommended your company to many people.

I would never go anywhere but the Diamond Cellar

I have been married 46 years. About two years ago - I could find the actual receipt - I noticed my engagement ring band had actually worn through from being rubbed by my wedding ring.  It was very thin and I hoped maybe a DC jeweler could somehow reinforce my white gold band.  As providence would have it, the jeweler who waited on me at the Dublin store RECOGNIZED the engagement ring setting!  He even knew the design number AND he had the phone number of the manufacturer memorized.  He said he was a salesman of engagement/wedding  rings in the field before he came to work at the DC.  If anyone else had waited on me, perhaps we could never have been able to ID the manufacturer. This gentleman went in the back, called the manufacturer, established that this very same setting was still available and ordered it for me.

He suggested I upgrade the diamond while I had the chance.  But my little .48 carat diamond was bought by my husband ... in 1966.  He worked all summer on a highway road crew at $3 an hour to earn the money to buy it. (no credit cards in those days)  I would never change the diamond. But I would never go anywhere but the Diamond Cellar to have it "serviced" and saved!!

Something Old, Something New

For my 30th anniversary I had the Diamond Cellar take my wife's original diamond for her original wedding ring and use that as a side stone, Purchased a beautiful 1.6 carat center stone and then another side stone to the original, and used a platinum setting to symbolize how we have grown since our simple start 30 years ago. The new ring is beautiful and yet there is still a part of the old ring in it.

Thank you, Diamond Cellar.

Sincerely,

Kevin
